ITEM: MAKING BRACKETS TO SUIT ILLUMINATED SIGNS, BOX FRAMED SIGNS

DESCRIPTION: This bracketing method can be used for both Sign One 80mm ( 3 1/4") round and 100mm ( 4") square posts.

CONSTRUCTION: Brackets indicated as A and B are recommended to be manufactured from aluminium of a suitable size and temper, to hold stresses relevant to wind loads of finished sign. Check with engineer to suitability.

SPECIFICATION:
STEP 1: A – cut aluminium 90o angles to required length of sign
STEP 2:

B – cut aluminium 90o angles to required length of sign

STEP 3: C – mechanical fix "B" angle inside A angle *
STEP 4: D – mechanical fix assembled bracket to illuminated cabinet
STEP 5: E – slot infill section P1484R with circular saw or router to required dimension to allow bracket to slide inside, and slide into post (optional)
STEP 6: F – slide bracket with sign attached into post (with optional infill)
STEP 7: G – cap off with suitable cap and mechanically fixing
* NB. Welding can be substituted for mechanical fixing.

  • With the correct selection of A and B sections, you can create virtually concealed fixings

  • Can be used for both 80mm ( 3 1/4") round and 100mm ( 4") square Sign One post sections

ENGINEERS SPECIFICATIONS:  Should be sought to ensure size/suitability of the system by user prior to use.

APPLICATIONS:  Where the finished application requires hidden or discreet fixings such as maps, small scale cabinets, internal cabinets, prestige environments and applications where the sign or cabinet needs to be changed by slide in/slide out method.
